How many credits can I earn?

Each program listing on our website includes the estimated CLE credits available for that session. Actual credits may vary by state based on individual CLE rules. Be sure to review your state’s CLE requirements when selecting the offering that best fits your needs.

What is a 50- vs 60-minute credit hour?

CLE jurisdictions calculate credit differently. Some divide program length by 60 minutes, while others divide by 50 minutes. For example, a 90-minute session earns 1.5 credits in a 60-minute state and 1.8 credits in a 50-minute state. Jurisdictions also apply their own rounding rules, so always review your state’s credit-calculation guidelines.

60-minute credit states:
AK, AL, AZ, AR, CA, CT, DE, GA, GU, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KY, LA, ME, MN, MP, MS, MT, NE, NH, NV, NC, ND, NM, OH, OR, PA, PR, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VI, VT, WA, WY

Does NABL offer Professional Responsibility (Ethics) credits?

Yes. NABL offers a range of credit types to meet state-specific CLE requirements, including ethics, DEI, technology, mental health and substance-use awareness, and teaching legal education. Attendees may claim these special credits when their MCLE state approves the course and they attend the qualifying session(s). NABL applies for all eligible special credits in applicable MCLE jurisdictions.

How can I claim teaching credit?

Information and forms for claiming teaching credit from other states are available for download from each state’s CLE website. Email cle@nabl.org for additional documentation if required.

How do I obtain my CLE certificates?

After a live conference, your Certificate of Attendance will be emailed to you within 30 days of the program’s completion. To ensure delivery, verify that messages from rosters@ceuinstitute.net are not blocked by your email filters.

You may also download your certificate directly from your NABL profile. Log in to your account, select “My Account” and navigate to the “Bar + CLE” tab to access your available certificates.

How is my CLE credit reported to my state(s)?

Your Certificate of Attendance explains how your credit will be reported. For multi-session programs, such as conferences, NABL reports the credit you earned based on the sessions you selected on your registration form. If you need to make updates, please modify your registration within 15 days after the live webinar or conference.

NABL reports attendance to the following states: AL, AR, DE, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MS, MT, NE, NV, NM, NC, OH, OK, OR, SC, TN, TX, UT, WA, WV. All other jurisdictions require practitioner self-reporting.

Participants from Arkansas must return their signed certificates to cle@nabl.org within 15 days following a live or in-person event in order to receive credit.

Is daily sign-in required for CLE credit during in-person conferences?

Some states require daily or one-time sign-ins for attendees to receive CLE credit. NABL follows the requirements below:
