Gilmore & Bell, P.C., one of the leading public finance law firms in the United States, is seeking an experienced associate attorney to join its team in the St. Louis office. 

The person in this role will be responsible for representing states, counties, housing authorities, and other governmental or quasi-governmental entities and 501(c)(3) organizations as bond counsel in bond and lease financings, economic development incentives, public-private partnerships, and other project financings. Additionally, they will serve as underwriter’s and bank counsel in public finance transactions.

Applicants are required to have a J.D. with excellent academic credentials and 3–5 years of work experience. Public finance or bond counsel experience is not required. Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in transactional legal work, possess superior oral and written communication skills, and exhibit high attention to detail and accuracy with a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate is an independent, action-oriented thinker who can successfully manage and complete major tasks and projects with minimal supervision, while also building and maintaining strong client relationships.

Prior work experience in public finance, securities, real estate, or tax, as well as a general knowledge of municipal finance and bond terminology, is preferred but not required.
