Speaker Johnson:
On behalf of the nation’s public finance attorneys, we congratulate you on your recent election to serve as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. We look forward to working with you and the entire Congress at this pivotal moment.
As you settle into the work ahead, please consider the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) a resource to you and your team on all issues relating to municipal securities and public finance law. Our more than 2,300 members hail from every state― including many from the State of Louisiana. We represent all parts of the municipal market and work on virtually every type of public finance transaction for states, local governments, and nonprofit borrowers.
It is our hope that in working together, we can protect affordable borrowing options and advance legislation that promotes sensible public finance policy for our communities. We would welcome the opportunity to meet with you or your staff to discuss these shared priorities in the near future.
Thank you for your time and attention on these important issues.
Respectfully,
Carol J. McCoog
