Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I’m a Pacific Northwest Native and am married.  My husband and I love to compete with German Shepherds in IGP.  I’m fortunate that shortly after earning my LL.M in Taxation, I had lunch with a public finance attorney who introduced me to this world and encouraged me to learn more and become a 103 attorney.  Along the way, I met Perry Israel, and he was one of the very few who would talk to me during the early years of my membership with NABL.  Perry Israel became a mentor and friend who I will always be grateful for.

You joined NABL in 2012. What has been the biggest value you’ve received from your NABL membership?

Being a part of the Tax Law Committee and the opportunities to participate in projects continues to mean a lot to me.

As a NABL volunteer, how has giving back to the profession helped your career?

NABL provides members with opportunities to have discussions and exchange ideas. These opportunities have helped me become a better professional.

What’s the best advice you have received?

The best advice I have received was to be myself.

What has been your favorite trip and why?

I’m not sure that I can limit myself to just one trip. I have loved going to Disneyland with my husband; there’s plenty to do and see so it can take more than one trip to check off a “to do list” which means lots of memories are made.
