A new Congress brings new faces to Capitol Hill— including many who may have a limited understanding of the municipal market. More importantly, they may not fully appreciate the importance of municipal bonds to the communities and constituents within their district. Luckily, this new Congress aligns with the launch of the new nabl.org. Here’s an overview of some of the advocacy-centered things you can now do with our new website:

Visit the New Advocacy Center

Members now have one place to easily access our advocacy content at www.nabl.org/advocate. The “Latest Happenings” section will feature recent coverage and updates from Washington, D.C., as well as anything coming out of the Governmental Affairs Committee (GAC). Easily navigate throughout the other advocacy tools throughout our site.

Learn about and Communicate Our Issues

The Priorities Center lists and clearly explains our top legislative and regulatory issues facing municipal market participants in detail. This educational page is useful to NABL members and federal decisionmakers. When you are advocating for NABL priorities, simply send a link (www.nabl.org/advocate/priorities) to your federal decisionmakers as a follow up or update.

View Comment Letters in One Place

Browse through NABL’s recent and archived comment letters to the Hill, federal agencies, and other key stakeholders in one place.

Track Bills Alongside Us

We continue to update our legislative tracker as new bills of interest to the municipal market are introduced in Congress. Members can keep up with what we are tracking through one accessible table.

Take Action to Preserve Our Market

New faces mean more education. We need authoritative voices in the market, like yours, to reach out to members of Congress to let them know:

  1. How important the municipal market is to their communities, and
  2. That NABL and our members are a resource to their office on all issues relating to public finance law.

It’s easier now more than ever for NABL members to take action through a form letter with just a few clicks on our new Advocacy Action Center. Simply fill out your information, edit the letter as you deem fit, and click send! Every outreach helps protect our market and elevate our voice.
