GASB Board Member
The Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) is seeking a highly qualified individual with substantial experience as a user of financial statements to fill one of the seven seats on the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).
The successful candidate will be appointed to an initial term of five years commencing July 1, 2026, and will be eligible for reappointment to an additional term of up to five years. Candidates must demonstrate working knowledge and experience with financial accounting and reporting for state and local governments. Candidates must also have substantial employment experience as a user of state and/or local government financial statements, with commensurate expertise in understanding and analyzing government financial reports.
The part-time GASB Board position is equivalent to one-third of a full-time position. The successful candidate must be able to commit to a meeting every six weeks typically held from Tuesday through Thursday (noon) in Norwalk, Connecticut.
