UPDATE: NABL was recently approved as an Accredited Provider for Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education for distance learning programs. Attorneys licensed in Pennsylvania can now earn CLE credit for all NABL distance learning offerings that occur or are recorded after August 15, 2020. Contact NABL if you have any questions.
NOTICE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many state CLE offices have closed. Several states have also made temporary adjustments to their in-person CLE credit hour requirements; a list is available here. You can expect delays in the receipt of filing and processing of your CLE credits during this time. You can also visit your state CLE website for details.
NABL sponsors various in-person conferences, teleconferences, and live and on-demand webinars for which CLE credit is offered. NABL programs meet the mandatory continuing legal education requirements for the nearly 40 mandatory CLE states. The sessions are based on relevant, technically accurate, substantive, and ethical topics.
CLE Frequently Asked Questions
The NABL CLE staff serves as the liaison between the state bars, CLE Commissions, and attorneys. We are also the initial point of contact for anyone with questions regarding the CLE process, and we maintain records for five years of participation as well.
NABL’s new automated CLE system allows members who participate in our virtual and in-person conferences to login to their online profiles and update their registration form to reflect the sessions actually attended (within 15 days of the conference). Members can then download their own CLE certificates 15 days after the end of the in-person conference or live webinar. Non-members are issued their certificates via email 15 days after the in-person conference or live webinar.
To receive CLE credit/certificates for NABL U Now on-demand webinars, teleconferences, and audio recorded conference sessions, registrants must email the two 3-digit CLE codes announced during the recording(s) along with their bar number and states to firstname.lastname@example.org. Members will not be able to access their certificates for on-demand learning on their online membership profile. NABL will send the certificates via email to both members and non-members.
